Lazy/Productive Weekend

This past weekend, I had a lot of ambitious goals (it being not only a 3-day weekend, but the first weekend I've had with no plans since sometime in November). Cleaning, organizing, painting, cooking ...

And knitting. I had a pair of arm warmers a little more than halfway complete, and I was really itching to finish them.

Knitting is one of those things that I can get completely absorbed in, which is wonderful, and also a little bit dangerous. Before I knew it, hours had gone by ...

And my arm warmers were complete!

These arm warmers are a much better fit than the first pair I made, which turned out huge (yeah, they're not kidding when they say checking your gauge is important ... whoops!). They look cool, but fall off my hands at any opportunity. Here they are, as modeled by my husband:

They're too big for him too!

Anyway, back to Saturday. By the time I finished my arm warmers, it was too late to start on any of my other projects, and I was all fired up on knitting. My next (and current) project is a green snake scarf, based on Kris Percival's "Wiggly Worm Scarf" pattern (part of her Knit Knack Kit). The original scarf was designed for a 3-year-old, and mine is designed for a 30-year-old.

Here's where I am, as of today:

So there's the latest on my projects. I felt kind of lazy, sitting around watching movies all day ... but at the same time I accomplished a lot!
